The Decolonizing Korean Studies Collective (DKSC) presents a professionalization workshop on book publication in Korean Studies on November 12 (Wed), from 3:30-5PM EST. Three scholars (Bohyeong Kim, David Krolikoski, and Jinwon Kim) will share their experiences publishing (forthcoming) monographs with different academic presses and across diverse disciplines. The panel will discuss strategies for transforming a dissertation into a book, navigating editorial and disciplinary expectations, and considering the role of mentorship and institutional support in the process, within the context of Korean studies in English-language scholarly publishing. The workshop will be conducted in English and Korean, with partial translation available in the chat.
